STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Individuals: Application for the authorities of Surety or Marine must be submitted as a paper amendment to your active license.

State fees will be collected by NIPR (on behalf of SC) when a transaction is declined according to SC business rules. Transaction fees and processing fees will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a decline response.

Individual applicants - Applicant must be 18 years old or older as determined from the applicant’s Date of Birth.
Individual applicants - Applicants must supply NASD CRD# when applying for Variable.
Individual applicants - Applicant applying for Variable must also apply for or have Life LOA.
Applicant with a Non Resident SC license in “Inactive” status may not apply electronically if Status Reason is:
- Denied
- Revoked
- Suspended
Business Entity Applicants - At least one Designated Producer must have an active license (Resident or Non-Resident) in SC.
