STATE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Business Entities: Producers Designated on Business Entity
applications must have an active NJ license and cumulatively cover all lines
of authority requested on the application.
- If applying for Surplus Lines, you must either also apply for Property and
Casualty or already actively hold these lines in New Jersey.
State fees will be collected by NIPR (on behalf of NJ) when a transaction is
declined according to NJ business rules. Transaction fees and processing fees
will also apply. Violation of the following rules will result in a decline
response.
- Individual applicants - Applicant must be 18
years old or older as determined from the applicant’s Date of Birth.
- Non-Citizen of U.S. Must hold U.S. resident
license.
- Individual
applicants - Applicant must enter NASD CRD number on
application for Variable Products.
- Individual
applicants - Applicant applying for Variable Contracts must
also apply for or have Life LOA in NJ.
- NJ
will allow reinstatement of a license if: *
- License
Status is not active
- Expiration date is >30 days and up to 1 year
- Use the Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) application to reinstate.
